‘USA: California’
An early journey through sunlight, sprawl, and the symbolism of Americana. USA: California marks one of the earliest chapters in my photography journey, when I first pointed my lens toward the myth and mood of America. Drawn to the textures of the West Coast, I wasn’t just documenting a place, but beginning to understand how places hold stories.
At the time, I was still learning to see. These photographs reflect a curiosity about everyday icons and overlooked corners, a fascination with the gap between the American dream and its reality. Shot in moments of solitude and quiet movement, the series captures the beauty, irony, and melancholy that live in sun-bleached streets and passing glances.
This wasn’t a search for spectacle. It was a search for feeling, something I’ve been chasing with a camera ever since.
