‘People of Manchester: 2025’
This series marks a turning point, a year where the fog lifted, the work deepened, and new doors opened.
People of Manchester 2025 captures the rhythm of a city I know intimately, during a time when I was reclaiming my creativity with clarity and purpose. After years of shooting through personal chaos, this was the year everything began to shift. I was invited to exhibit multiple times, broke new ground with my Victorious Voices project, and had the surreal honour of sitting down to dinner with Martin Parr at his foundation, a moment of recognition that felt like a signal: keep going.
Shot in that headspace of expansion and return, these images are full of quiet confidence and renewed attention. They’re grounded in my roots of street photography, public space, human detail, but they carry a new kind of ambition: to make meaning, to build legacy, and to see people with more depth than ever before.
This is Manchester, through the eyes of someone who fought to stay in the frame, and finally stepped forward.
